Chef Christophe Gregoire and his wife Josephine invite you to ‘come home’ to Gérardmer and visit the beautiful regions of Alsace and Les Vosges. This is a tour like no other – a unique opportunity to travel with hosts with a lifelong experience of the region and the people.

The welcoming and luxurious 4 star Le Grand Hotel in the heart of Gérardmer is your home away from home for the 12 nights of the tour.

This intimate and personal tour includes a host of regional food and wine experiences with visits to many of the picturesque towns and villages of the region and places of spectacular natural beauty including the famous 120 km wine road Route des Vins in Alsace.


Day 1

  • Afternoon departure from Paris Gare de l’Est direct TGV train to Remiremont train station, Vosges (optional).
  • Coach transfer to your hotel in Gérardmer, Grand Hôtel and Spa.
  • Welcome to Gérardmer; pre-dinner welcome drinks on the lake.
  • Welcome dinner at the award winning Le Pavillon Pétrus, Grand Hôtel and Spa.

Day 2

  • Hohneck mountain ranges lookout.
  • An authentic farm house lunch.
  • Le Jardin de Berchigranges, award winning garden guided tour.

Day 3

  • Tour and tasting G. Miclo Distillery.
  • Mont Saint Odile guided tour.
  • Lunch at a traditional winstub in Obernai.
  • Free time in Obernai.

Day 4

  • Kaysersberg local market tasting.
  • Guided tour of Kaysersberg.
  • Free time in Kaysersberg.
  • Château Haut Koenigsbourg guided tour.
  • Group dinner at Grand Hôtel and Spa.

Day 5

  • A day to explore Gérardmer or simply enjoy the facilities at Grand Hôtel and Spa.
  • Visit the picturesque goats cheese farm at sunset.
  • Group dinner at La Clé des Champs, plus traditional folklorique musician to entertain our group.

Day 6

  • Munster cheese making, La Laiterie Haxaire, Lapoutroie.
  • Kugelhopf patisserie demonstration and tasting, Pâtisserie Schaal.
  • Wine tasting and masterclass, Grands vins d’Alsace Louis Sipp, Ribeauville.
  • Group dinner at Grand Hôtel and Spa.

Day 7

  • Local food market tour and tasting, Gérardmer.
  • Cooking demonstration and lunch at Hospitality School, Gérardmer.
  • Visit luxury textile, tableware factory outlet.

Day 8

  • Colmar guided tour, time to do some shopping and exploration.
  • Group dinner at Grand Hôtel and Spa.

Day 9

  • Visit and tasting at one of the oldest cellars in Alsace, Hugel and Fils, Riquewihr.
  • Local historian Monsieur André Hugel recounts stories of war and winemaking.
  • “Terroir” explained at Domaine Riefle, Pfaffenheim vineyard.
  • Group dinner at Grand Hôtel and Spa.

Day 10

  • Peruse through the local flee market, Kientzheim.
  • Wine museum guided tour.
  • St Hyppolyte wine festival, fête du vin nouveau.
  • Farewell dinner at Michelin star restaurant Hostellerie des Bas Rupt.

Day 11

  • Visit the Commonwealth war cemetery.
  • Learn how to make local speciality “les chardons”, Chocolatier Thil.
  • Lunch at farmhouse Les Grands Pres, Plainfaing.
  • Lolly making demonstration, Confiserie des Haut Vosges.

Day 12

  • Au revoir Gérardmer.
  • Early morning coach transfer to Remiremont train station bound for Paris (optional).
